I am a global educator and science teacher with over 20 years experience teaching middle school through college level students. While earning my doctorate in ecology at the University of Connecticut, I discovered my passion for teaching and helping students explore their strengths and passions.

I am currently the Director of the Global Studies Diploma Program at Watkinson School in Hartford, CT. I lead a service learning trip to Uganda where my students work on education and sustainability projects. My high school science classes also have a distinctly global focus incorporating themes of justice, human rights, and conservation.

I have designed The Student Web Portfolio Workshop with fellow tech educator, Tom Gromak where our students take control of personal online presence and build their portfolio websites. Check out our site: webportfolioworkshop.com

I am an educator collaborator with Science Friday and have a lesson on forensic entomology on their site, ScienceFriday.com. I am also a trained facilitator and lead an adult professional development group, and have given talks on the use of technology in education across the country.
