Jennifer Okeke
Data Analyst in NIGERIA
Hi, I’m Jennifer Okeke, a passionate and detail-oriented Data Analyst with a track record of turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive business performance. My journey from Petroleum and Gas Engineering into Data Analytics has equipped me with a unique blend of problem-solving, analytical thinking, and technical expertise.
I’m skilled in a wide range of data analytics tools and technologies, including:
Excel – advanced formulas, Power Query, PivotTables, automation with VBA.
SQL – writing complex queries, joins, CTEs, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
Python – data cleaning, analysis, and visualization (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn), and basic machine learning workflows.
Power BI & Tableau – building interactive dashboards, DAX measures, data modeling, and storytelling with visuals.
Data Management – ETL processes, large dataset handling, and data quality assurance.
Professionally, I’ve worked across industries, from FMCG to consulting, growing from an intern to a Team Lead in Data Analytics. I have led projects that involved:
Designing and deploying multi-brand dashboards to track sales across Nigeria’s On-Trade, Off-Trade, and Modern Trade channels.
Automating weekly reporting processes, saving time and improving data accuracy.
Building predictive models and forecasting demand to support sales and marketing strategy.
Mentoring junior analysts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
Beyond the office, I run a weekly blog called Data Facts Thursday, where I break down real-world data problems, tools, and strategies into simple, practical lessons.
For me, analytics is more than numbers — it’s about creating clarity, telling stories with data, and empowering teams to make smarter decisions.
