Jennifer Onyebuchi, also known as Tech Big Sis, is on a mission to raise the next generation of African Tech Giants. With a passion for sparking tech curiosity in young minds and nurturing the problem-solvers and innovators of tomorrow, she has dedicated over three years to teaching introductory computer science and coding to more than 300 Nigerian children aged 5-12.
As the founder of the Tech Big Sis Foundation, Jennifer drives a social enterprise focused on eradicating disparities and fostering inclusion and diversity in the tech landscape through two pivotal initiatives: the "Raising Afro-Tech-Girls" movement (RAM) and "Teach Every African Child Early" (TEACE). Through RAM, she has mentored over 80 girls, inspiring them to pursue careers in STEM. Notably, her TEACE initiative has directly impacted the lives of over 50 children in rural and underserved communities across two Nigerian states.
In addition to her teaching and mentorship, Jennifer is a skilled data analyst with a deep understanding of how to leverage data to inform decision-making and create meaningful change. She is committed to applying her data-driven approach to drive sustainable development, particularly within the social impact field.
Her work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), and 10 (Reduced Inequalities). Through advocacy, training, public speaking, and mentorship, she strives to build data-driven initiatives that create lasting social change.
