Jenny Price
Solving creative challenges for clients and educating within the realm of design — work in an integrated fashion. Since 2002, Jenny Price has taught design and new media technologies for the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently as Assistant Online Program Director in the graphic design department with the Art Institute Pittsburgh – Online Division. For more than a decade, she also works professionally as an independent consultant, within the field of design, interactive systems and creative art direction. Providing solutions for numerous clients ranging from dedication to the arts to health and wellness to higher education. Delivering sound ideas and results.
Jenny seeks innovation within design education in both online and face-to-face learning modalities, incorporating a variety of methodologies, technologies and new media systems to enhance both faculty and student interactions and experiences. She is continually seeking ways to improve engagement and collaboration within both art and design thinking, industry practice, and higher education outcomes. Having earned both her B.F.A in graphic design and photography and M.F.A in graphic design, new media technologies, and photography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she brings a diverse set of experiences. Jennifer also exhibits internationally and is in numerous private collections. And has been awarded national honors from Society for Photographic Education and Kodak, among other associations.
She also is President, serving on the Board of Directors for AIGA Minnesota. She volunteers her time to support the local design community, reaching 1,400+ members by continually encouraging their involvement and active participation in professional practice and business ethics. Well networked, Jenny invites guest design leaders and thinkers to share their experiences across organizations by pioneering and designing event experiences, since 2007. Demonstrating the importance of being professionally engaged with and attuned to the larger design community, spanning design students to design veterans. She speaks to professional organizations, universities, and corporations on creative issues and also serves as an advocate for numerous art and design organizations.
When she is not at her computer, you will find her either exploring the North Shores of Minnesota, on the historic Gun Flint Trail or attending an array of art, cultural, design related events.
