21-year-old attentive human, born & raised in Cubs territory Chicago. Educated at Andover, Stanford, Oxford. Honors thesis on Bruce Chatwin's unpublished manuscript. EIC of the Stanford Undergraduate Anthropology Research Journal, peer advisor at the Stanford English Department, founder of the Techie-Fuzzy Project, former director of the Student Organizing Committee for the Arts & president of the Stanford Film Society. Finalist & first alternate for the 2014 Marshall Scholarship. Spent three months living in Vilnius on a Chappell Lougee grant & wrote a narrative ethnography on collective memory in the post-Soviet generation of Lithuanian artists and writers. Beagle II Award recepient for journey of discovery through the media scenes of Edinburgh, Berlin, and New York. Co-authored chapters on intergroup relations forthcoming in Wiley & Cambridge University Press. Journalism in VICE, The Stanford Daily; run-on sentences in The Eunoia Review, Thought Catalog, The Leland Quarterly, and other places. Proponent of taste, context, big risks.
