✍🏼 I explore Asian American identity and belonging through creative writing. I wrote a book about ice cream around the world and various nonfiction essays. Currently, I am focusing on fictional short work and a novel, following common practice of Chinese men starting a life with a second family away from their home country. I am a grandchild of those families.

👩🏻‍💻 Currently in civic tech. Former design and research lead at Instagram, Fitbit, Mayo Clinic, design consultancies, and other health/wellness companies for 15+ years.

✨ If I was asked about my hobbies at the age of 8, I would answer "observing" which inspires my storytelling.
