The basics: I have a background in nursing, early childhood education, and Montessori. I have been working with children for 16 years. I have worked with newborns up to adolescents; mostly in multiple child environments.

The adjectives: I'm highly organized, creative, and flexible. I am not afraid of paint, pets, or playgrounds. I am fun and fair. I am self directed, self motivated, and just the proper amount of "chill".

The fun stuff: I have two cats. I change my hair color fairly often. I have a vast love of literature, and have read every book by Murakami, Dostoevsky, and Ian Rankin; my library is eclectic. I love to cook, and I bake all my own bread. I can cross stitch, I like cleaning, and I'm pretty good at card games. I can put any baby to sleep. It's a pretty neat skill.

The philosophy: I believe children learn best through "doing", and the best thing I can do for them is allow them to be their own person, and allow them to make their own choices within safe limits. We don't accomplish much by being told what we can't do, but by finding out what we can.
