Jenn Prokop

Journalism student. Freelance writer. Musician. NHL lover. My name is Jenn Prokop. I am a journalism student at Lewis University and will be graduating very soon! I will have a degree in Print Journalism as well as minors in Public Relations, Radio/Television Broadcast and Business Administration. I am the Editor-in-Chief of "The Flyer" newspaper on campus and also work in the university's Writing Center as a writing tutor. I love music and the Chicago Blackhawks. There is nothing better than playoff hockey and going to concerts. I do PR for local bands and musicians and have been a part of the production on two different music videos. I have had my own classic rock/local music radio show on 88.1 FM WLRA. My dream job would be to write for a music magazine/ music-related publication or to work for the Blackhawks organization in any way. I can't wait to start my career in the media. In the little bit of free time that I have with classes and work, I play guitar and have started writing some of my own music. I would love to eventually play shows at smaller coffee-house style venues. I'm not quite there yet. Check out my websites to find out a little more about me!
