Jennifer M. Wang

I am currently a doctoral candidate in Human Development (Minor: Measurement, Statistics and Evaluation) at the University of Maryland. I will complete all the requirements for the Ph.D. by fall 2013.

Broadly, my research focuses on the links between individual differences, peer relationships, and socioemotional development in children and adolescents. Specifically, my work focuses on understanding the heterogeneity associated with personality/behavioral dispositions (e.g., aggression; social withdrawal) and social-cognitive processes (e.g., rejection sensitivity). I am particularly interested in examining how these phenomena affect and are affected by peer relationships, and how these constructs influence youth adjustment in different cultures.
