I am a freelance journalist based in Oakland, California, specializing in education reporting and audio storytelling. I write occasional restaurant reviews, I frequently cook and I always try for eight hours of shut eye.

I am a Jill of all places: I spent the summer working at the Miami Herald, the winter before studying at Columbia Journalism School, my post grad years living in Spain and the majority of my childhood in Reno, Nevada.
