I’ve always been kind of artistic and creative character and when I started to study Business Administration, people were confused about my chosen field. And to be honest, I was a little confused myself. I went to the studies thinking I would be there for two weeks at most and then go for something more obvious for my nature. Quite quickly I realized that Business administration is everything but dull rolling around numbers alone in the office –kind of stuff. I got to use my artistic and visual talent in different marketing related projects and I had a perfect opportunity to develop further my communication and interpersonal skills in project, team work tasks and different presentations. I conducted as a project leader in a few projects in one of which our project team planned and created a fair stand for our practise company in a fair in Finland and Spain. I used the possibility to expand my international experience and go for an exchange. So two weeks turned into three and half years and now I have graduated as a BBA.
I have worked in a various kinds of positions from sales, customer service to supply chain management to even nursing. Communicating, mediating and co-operating are anyhow common things in all of my jobs and I can say with confidence that those are my strengths.
I’m looking for new possibilities, especially in the fields of HR or project management. My dream job at this point would be something where I and the company could benefit from my project management experience and knowledge, maybe make use of my visual skills. Also I would like to put my HR knowledge to practise. As can be deduced from my little story in the first chapter, I think that if you don’t try and take risks, you’ll miss the greatest opportunities and experiences.
