Jenny Amlen

I grew up in New York City in a house full of musicians. I've performed around the world in Asia, Europe and Bahamas. Locally in clubs-CBGB, Bitter End, China Club, Knitting Factory, Red Lion, etc. After obtaining my BA in Liberal Arts, my fascination with Indian music, lead me to study raga with Terry Riley and Lamont Yound in India. Since then I've had a recording/publishing contract in Germany and lived and toured there for years. I recorded my first CD, Serious Thinking, in Germany, which is available on Itunes and CDBaby. You can view 2 videos that were recorded in Austria with some great musicians, as well as many live shows on YouTube. In 2008, I recorded my CD Many Hats-also on Itunes and CDBaby. I've written over 200 songs to date and I'm completing my latest CD-Story To Tell. I am recording the CD with my brother, David Amlen, at his studio Manhattan Sound Recording, NYC. I am very excited about it's completion which will be by the end of the year!
