Jenny Bradley

Project Manager and Artist in Cardiff, United Kingdom

I have been working as a freelance project manager and carnival artist in the Cardiff arts sector for over 10 years.

My most recent role involved researching, managing and delivering performances, workshops and events with SWICA (South Wales Intercultural Community Arts).

I've helped coordinate large-scale public events and parades including the Cardiff Carnival, The National St David's Day Parade in Cardiff, Christmas lantern parades as well as school and community carnivals in South Wales.

In terms of making, I specialize in large backpack structures and headdresses and also enjoy acting as seamstress making base costumes for decoration.

I am experienced in planning and running creative carnival-based workshops with both a wide cross section of the community and school children. I have been designing and running workshops for 6 years as a freelance artist.

I play saxophones (baritone and tenor) in a number of Cardiff-based bands including community workshop band Wonderbrass. As Chair I have organised a number of projects including an exchange to Stuttgart, special events at Brecon Jazz Festival as well as projects funded by the BBC and the PRS.
