Jenny Galasso

I'm originally from Ohio and still have a lot of Midwest pride. Although I will never be a "Mainer", I've called Maine my home for 12 years. I'm entering my 5th year teaching and have enjoyed learning how to ride the rollercoaster that is middle school. My students refer to me as, "Ms. G". Before entering the classroom I worked as a marine and aquatic biologist on renewable energy projects (tidal, ocean, wind). I received my Bachelors of Science from the University of New England and Masters in Education at University of Southern Maine. When I'm not in the classroom I enjoy going on outdoor adventures such as traveling, hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing. I often "dog-nap" my friend's dogs (since I don't have one of my own). I also love to cook at home and garden. I'm passionate about learning through experience and enjoy writing. This year I'm looking forward to taking on the new challenge of being the K-12 Science Curriculum Facilitator for the district.
