Jennifer Rogers was born in Dublin Ireland. She received her BA (Drama 2009) and MA (English 2010) from University College Cork.
She is working on a number of scripts for live and recorded performance. She writes and produces` for radio, film, theatre and has published fiction and non-fiction.
Jennifer was the Artistic Director with Roundhouse Productions 2009-2014. During this time Jennifer successfully staged 8 professional stage productions: Spitting Love (Writer/director Granary Theatre Cork 2009 /Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010) Lipstick by Rachel Yoder (Producer Granary Theatre Cork 2009 /Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010) Romek and Julie (Director/Producer Cork 2010) A Night To Remember (Writer/producer Cork 2011). Magazine (Writer/director National Tour Ireland) KATIE|MAG (Writer/director Collaborations Festival Dublin 2013/The Everyman Cork 2013) One (writer/director SHOW Festival Cork 2013)
As part of her directorship at Roundhouse Jennifer’s flagship project Roundhouse Youth (2010-2014) produced over 20 programmes across Arts, Education and Community sectors with award winning projects in association with Cork City Council and Cork County Council. Jennifer Concurrently worked as a Youth Theatre Facilitator at Graffiti Theatre Company, and was part of their Drama in Education team.
Before returning to college Jennifer worked as an Account Handler for London Calling Arts Ltd (2003). She left London Calling to take a position in The Aldych Theatre’s operations department during its acclaimed season of FAME (2004). In this time she received several training certificates in acting and directing, namely from the London Academy for TV and film.
