Jenny Nguyen

My name is Jenny Nguyen and I am 22 years old. Currently attending San Jose State as a Health Science major. I graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in San Jose, California and have lived here all my life. I enrolled in San Jose State as a pre-nursing student, but due to lack of confidence, I decided to change my major to Health Science during my second year. I felt that Health Science would be a broad major leaving me to many choices in the medical field. As of right now, I slightly regret changing major because I am considering getting back into nursing. I feel as though I am far behind now. What made me reconsider nursing is something that happened last year. I was admitted to the hospital due to an infection from a surgery and my stay there brought back interest in nursing. Being in the hospital for a week, I observed the nurses and felt that I can do what they do. Therefore my two choices of a career that I would like to pursue is either nursing or physician assistant.
