Jenny Thomas
Technology Coordinator in Temecula, California
I have been serving as Technology Coordinator in the Menifee Union School District since December 2016. I look forward to building relationships and growing technology with our school community.
I previously served as a Digital Learning Project Specialist with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. I have 19 years of educational experience, including teaching elementary grades and working with the California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP). My vision is to build capacity in students, staff, and the community to increase innovative thinking, global awareness, and life-long learning skills in the 21st Century.
My passions in this work include integrating technology while implementing the Common Core State Standards, online and blended learning environments, and implementing mobile devices into classrooms.
Prior to working at the county office, I was a 5th grade classroom teacher at Murrieta Elementary school. Not only was lucky enough to work with some of the most fun and caring teachers, but our students and parents created a wonderful school community.
My first teaching assignment was as a first grade teacher in San Bernardino City Unified. I recently returned to SBCUSD to do over 40 days of training! I got to work with some of the same, very talented people that I worked with in the district 16 years ago.
When not working, I enjoy travel to tropical locations where my husband and I enjoy SCUBA diving. We also like to go on hikes with our two adorable doxie mixes.
