Jennifer Podvin

Welcome! My name is Jen Podvin, I am an aspiring ecologist and graduate student specializing in restoration ecology, ecological restoration and natural resource management. My passions in these fields are invasive species control, land management and landscape ecology, plant-soil feedbacks and soil and water conservation. I am especially drawn to the study of wetland, riparian and grassland ecosystems (although I love to hike in forests) and how these pursiuts may be affected by climate change.
I recently graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a BS in Conservation & Resource Studies. I am now continuing my education at the University of San Francisco where I am pursuing a MS in Environmental Management. I live in Oakland, California with my fiance' Vern and my rescue dog Sadie. We enjoy funny movies together, cooking and eating wholsome foods, laughter, love and play!
