Jennifer Thomas

Tiverton, Rhode Island

Jen is currently the Library Media Specialist at the Paul Cuffee Middle and Upper Schools in Providence. There she energetically runs and maintains both the physical and virtual spaces. She has a passion for working with teachers and students and has a strong interest in infusing information and digital literacy into any school's curriculum.

Jen has worked as the Librarian at Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School (MA) and before coming to D-R, she served as the Director of Library Media Services for four years and Director of Library and Technology Integration for two at Bishop Stang High School. During this time, she developed and successfully implemented a Digital Literacy curriculum for all ninth grade students and worked collaboratively with a team of teachers and administrators to implement an iPad 1:1 program.

What Jen enjoys most about her profession is connecting with other educators and learning from them. She has presented at numerous workshops and conferences in MA and RI and is actively involved in a variety of professional organizations as a member and frequent presenter including MSLA, AASL, ISTE, RISTE, MassCUE, and SLRI.
