Jen Martinez

San Antonio, Texas

Hola, hello, and ni hao!

I am passionate about living a life of purpose that creates meaningful economic & social change through creativity, entrepreneurial innovation, and mindful leadership.

My career began in textile manufacturing and evolved through international trade and development.

Currently, I develop and manage long-term strategies to grow regional economies, specifically centered around automotive and manufacturing clusters, as Bexar County Economic Development's Strategic Initaitives Manager. The foundation of my work is built on shared team intelligence, collaboration, and stakeholder mobilization. On-the-ground initiatives include projects in China, Mexico, and Israel.

I am also pursuing a low-residence MBA in Sustainable Business at Bainbridge Graduate Institute in Seattle, WA that includes course work on the outdoor industry, with a particular interest in operations, ethical sourcing, and minorities in the outdoors.

My pursuit of joy goes beyond the office to include adventure travel, volunteerism, meditation, the outdoors, and anything with two wheels.
