Jennifer Robbins
I was born a designer. When other kids were out playing ball, I was at home perfecting the letter "a."
My design career has taken me from print design, through Web design (I was the designer for GNN, the first commercial web site, in 1993), and lately into UI design for mobile. As a result, I remember cutting rubylith and I know the HTML5 & CSS3 specs inside and out.
I am also the author of several best-selling books published by O'Reilly Media: Web Design in a Nutshell, Learning Web Design, and the HTML Pocket Reference. I've got some sort of uncanny knack for documentation.
Recently, I co-founded the ARTIFACT Conference for web designers adapting to a multi-device world. It's been great fun.
In 2002, I started a little video project called Cooking with Rockstars, in which I combine my passions for cooking and Indie Rock by talking to my favorite artists about what they like to cook and eat.
