I joined KREM 2 News in November of 2010 as a news and digital media producer. In April 2014, I was promoted to morning anchor. I co-anchor a four hour morning news program, as well as, produce and anchor KREM 2 News at Noon. I am responsible for delivery of news content but also overseeing the content. Beyond reading, I, along with my co-anchors, take a critical look at our coverage to make it fair and balanced. Prior to my promotion, I worked as a digital media reporter for KREM 2 Morning News and fronted my own segment called @KREMjen's Top Picks. My job was to identify and report trends on the Internet. I also helped run the assignment desk in the morning, as well as, served as a web producer for KREM.com. I also serve as a fill-in weather anchor.

During my time at KREM 2 News, I've helped our station gain credibility for consistently being first to report breaking stories on air and online. I've also participated in several community service events by either volunteering my time or emceeing fundraisers. Perhaps my biggest community service effort included a trip around the globe to deliver care packages. I traveled to Kyrgyzstan to hand deliver holiday gifts to airmen serving at the Transit Center at Manas as part of the Treats 2 Troops program. I led our digital media efforts on the trip by tweeting, posting to Facebook, and providing updates for KREM.com.

Prior to joining the news team, I worked as a writer for Northwest Cable News/KING-5 in Seattle. While there, I covered a wide range of stories from across Northwest and nationally.

I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis on Broadcast Journalism. While in school, I worked as an anchor, reporter, and producer for Cable 8 News at Washington State University. I am an alumni member of the Alpha Phi sorority.

I was born and raised in Eastern Washington. Outside of the newsroom, I love to travel and spend time with family. During a college essay writing contest, I was narrowed down to the top 30 out of over 2,000 candidates to drive the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile for a job. Though I ultimately did not get the gig, I did come away with dozens of wiener whistles.
