Jen Zils

Jen Zils is the founder of Lumen Forward Consulting, where she helps mission-driven founders untangle operational complexity and build the structure their growth requires. She brings 25+ years of operations leadership across Fortune 500 and high-growth digital businesses, including 15 years at GE Capital and as COO of Product Launch Formula, where she managed a 40-person team running multi-million-dollar launch operations.

At PLF, Jen led the redesign of an operating model that reduced the team from 40+ to under 20 and converted the flagship offer from cohort to evergreen, protecting revenue and team capacity through the transition.

Her work centers on the structural problem most founders mistake for a people problem: roles that were never fully defined, systems built for a smaller business, decisions that all still route through the founder. Jen helps leadership teams design operating models that protect both the mission and the people doing the work.

She is the architect of the Lumen Forward Method™, a six-phase consulting framework that moves founders from "I'm the bottleneck" to a business that runs on structure, not heroics.

Jen lives in Phoenix with her husband Conrad and their three children.
