Jeppe Sloth Carlsen

Hi, I'm Jeppe — designer, art director and web developer in Copenhagen, and founder of Blackbook, a digital design studio I've run since 1996.

I work at the intersection of design and technology: strategy, UX/UI, AI and code, carried from the first sketch to a deployed product. I sum it up as Dream - Design - Deploy.

My foundation is six years as Head of UX & Design at a Danish FinTech SaaS, shipping products across web, iOS and Android to thousands of businesses. Before that, two decades across Danish and Nordic agencies, owning the digital end of the work: art direction, UX, UI, prototypes, motion, campaigns, e-commerce, the lot — for FinTech, pharma, e-commerce, luxury brands and the public sector across Scandinavia and Europe.

The work has been recognized with a Red Dot Award, honors from CSS Design Awards, and nominations from FWA and Awwwards.

I integrate AI into my design workflow daily and built blackbook.dk as a working example of where I think this is going: a conversational portfolio with a vector database for semantic retrieval and a Schema.org knowledge graph. Ask it anything.

Today I'm co-founder of a B2B SaaS platform I design and build end-to-end — design, code and AI-native workflow. The kind of hands-on senior craft I want to keep doing.
