As corporate director of Lean Enterprise Transformation for a Multi-National Organization Jerel Rumbley oversees a billion-dollar department for the firm. The Milwaukee-based automotive and aerospace manufacturing and logistics company serves General Electric, Caterpillar Inc., Airbus S.A.S., and other clients. The corporate leader for the company’s cultural transformation and performance, Jerel Rumbley enacts transactional and continuous improvement processes in the United States, Singapore, Germany, Mexico, and Switzerland. His programs have resulted in a year-over-year improvement in productivity of 17 percent and won the Shingo Silver Medallion from The Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence, a testament to Jerel Rumbley’s achievements in effecting corporate change.

Jerel Rumbley prepared for his career by attending Wayne State University, where he earned a bachelor of science in chemical engineering. Returning to Wayne State several years later, he completed a master of business administration in finance. Rumbley held positions with Van Leer Flexible Packaging, L.P.; Printpack, Inc.; Meridian Automotive Systems; and Tyco Electronics. These roles provided him with experience in safety, costing, quality assurance, processing, and team leadership. Additionally, Rumbley has acquired training in Global Lean Six Sigma deployment, strategic and tactical planning, and inventory management.
