Jeremiah Ragsdale
Avon, IN
I am a graphic designer living in a suburb of Indianapolis, IN with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Graphic Design from Indiana Wesleyan University. I am the Communications & Art Director for Crossroads Church in Avon, IN. You can go here for my current résumé. (Check out those acute accents.) I am also available for contract work.
I grew up thinking I was going to be an architect and earn a place of recognition along side other architects like Frank Lloyd Wright. Later on I began to pay attention to identities, print layouts, and web design, and my interest was sparked and set ablaze. I saw how identities like ABC and JPMorgan Chase & Co. stood the test of time. As much as I admire Frank Lloyd Wright and his architecture, Paul Rand and Chermayeff & Geismar were the new “rock stars” in my mind that I wanted to be recognized with.
I understand that I may never reach that point of recognition, but I’m OK with that. Simply being able to create is a joy in itself. I have a special interest in working with nonprofit organizations. Not only can I enjoy what I’m doing while meeting my financial obligations (yay student loans!), but I can also give into communities and those in need.
I’m a generally happy guy who enjoys to laugh and make people feel comfortable. I’m also somewhat of an introvert at times which makes getting to know others a little challenging, but I get through it. I enjoy many other aspects of art whether it’s literature, music, or television and movies. I get excited about video games and new LEGO sets. In some aspects I am essentially a big kid who likes to have fun and enjoy life and entertainment. I work hard, love my families, and try to make the most out of what I have.
