Jeremiah Stephen

Hello all!

I'll say first and foremost that I'm an artist at heart. The abstract world of thought is truly my home, and I express it onto the canvas and the page in the best way that I can. I also must add that I love the written word, prose, poetry and all forms of self-expression. Thankfully, this love has been reinforced and fostered by many sources throughout my life.

I was born in 1977 in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I first developed a love for art in the simple form of drawing horses that I watched in a pasture near my home. This soon changed after the age of fifteen when my family moved south to the gulf coast and I fell in love with the sights and sounds of New Orleans. This is where my love for the abstract first developed.

Currently I reside in the delta region, near New Orleans, but at this point in time I've lived all over the country and at some point I've called all three coasts of the U.S. home. Moving and traveling are both synonymous with my life, and given the beauty of the world that I've been lucky enough to witness, I couldn't imagine this life spent in just one place.

Since a very young age, I have to say I've had an adventurous passion for life and an intimate bond with nature; always being drawn toward the philosophical and spiritual elements of existence, I enjoy pondering the multi-faceted meaning of life in art and writing.

After attending school at the University of Southern Mississippi and having written professionally as a freelance writer since 2009 covering topics of nature, outdoor recreation, environment, travel and spirituality; I now devote my time to creating inspirational stories and introspective artwork.

I put all of my being into my work. Anything you see or read is taken from my own life experience and thought. I do this for no other reason but to help others see the beauty of life as I am able to see it.
