Jeremy Johnson

I'm Jeremy Johnson, and I'm a coach, encourager, guide, and supporter of parents who find themselves in stuck places.

And let's admit it. We all get stuck at different times in this journey called parenthood. Those times when we lie awake at night trying to make sense of the problems that just don't seem to have any answers. Those stuck places are often related to the things in our lives that mean the most to us, and most of those stuck places have one thing in common: a lack of connection.

Like the times when we feel distant in our most important relationships. Or when we just don't feel as close to our children as we'd like to be. Or when our kids behave in ways that don't make sense no matter how hard we try to understand them. In many of those disconnected moments, we feel like a failure as a parent, and we're terrified about how our children will survive in the future.

Those stuck places are hard and scary, but finding ourselves there is actually a good thing. I believe that growth can thrive in the trenches of relationships. I've been helping people get out of stuck places for over 20 years, and I've seen it happen again and again in the lives of the families and parents with whom I've worked.

My professional journey as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, my stints as a youth pastor, and my experiences of being a father and adoptive parent are a huge influence in my work with parents.

I help parents learn how to connect with their children. I teach parents and their kids how to have conversations that heal instead of hurt. I show parents how to say those things they've always wanted to say but just didn't know how.

Does that mean you'll get it right every time? Absolutely not. Perfection just isn't the goal. The goal is simply to be the best parent you can be for your children. So, join me on this journey of parenthood, and let's work together in discovering how to connect with your children and be the very best parent you can be.

When I'm not helping people get out of stuck places at The Connection Place (my counseling practice) or as a parenting coach and consultant, I'm spending time with my beautiful wife and sweet little girls.
