Jeremy Barlow

I recently moved to Los Angeles, California. I am currently pursuing employment with Zoos, Aquariums or other educational/entertainment/cultural attractions. I have 7 years of professional zoo industry experience ranging from animal husbandry to event planning. I have a communication degree with an emphasis in Public Relations and significant on-air and social media experience.

Most recently I worked as a special events planner at the Phoenix Zoo and specialized in creating educational events that celebrate the animals that call the zoo home. One of my greatest highlights of my career has been participating on the planning team to build a new home for the Zoo's orangutans. In 2010, we broke ground on for their new home and celebrated the 50th birthday of Duchess, the oldest Bornean orangutan in North America. In 2011, we celebrated the grand opening of this new exhibit. I also helped with the Zoo's social media and particpated in on-air media interviews. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, travel (especially to National Parks and theme parks and zoos), exploring the world and learning more about animals. I live with my partner and our two puggles in Hollywood.
