I was saved at a young age however as I grew older I didn't always walk with Jesus. I thought that all I had to do was ask for Jesus to forgive for my sins, believe with my heart, and confess with my mouth and it was complete. Funny enough that was all I had to do but I didn't realize at the time that God had greater plans for me. He was and continues to mold me more into the image of Christ. Sometimes he does this while I cooperate and sometimes when I don't.
My grandmother attended Westwood and always wanted me to attend. It wasn't until her funeral I realized how far I had drifted away from Christ. I was more focused on me than Christ. He began a work not only in my heart but the heart of my wife Kelly. We started attending Westwood and began to grow our relationship with Jesus. We have been blessed with 4 wonderful children.
God has proven himself faithful to us throughout our years of marriage. I am employed with the school system in Person County and coach football at the high school for the Rockets. This is a dream come true for me. I am also the voice of the Rockets on 96.7 FM for football, basketball, and volleyball.
Our children participate on sports, dance, and other extracurricular activities. Kelly teaches Sunday School for the 3rd & 4th graders on Sunday mornings. We have been blessed by our relationships at Westwood beyond our wildest imaginations. We thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for such a faithful body of believers.
