Jeremy Leidhecker

Jeremy Leidhecker, 29, is the Assistant Musical Director and Conductor of The Commonwealth Pops Orchestra and holds a B.S. in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree in Conducting from Messiah College. Jeremy toured with the seven-time world champion Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2007 and 2008, served as the Director of Bands of Northern High School in the Northern York County School District for 5 years between 2009 to 2013, and is currently an active arranger and composer for music programs around the United States.
As a film composer, Jeremy is the 2015 winner of the Marvin Hamlisch Film Scoring Contest, with his score to "Flip" being chosen from over 500 composers originating from 50 countries around the world. The previous year, Jeremy's score to"Sebastian's Voodoo" was ranked 3rd of nearly 400 submissions from 33 countries around the world in the 2014 film scoring contest sponsored by CINE. As an orchestrator, Jeremy works closely withMichael Cavanaugh, the star of Billy Joel's hit Broadway Musical, "Movin' Out", with his orchestrations being performed by top-tier orchestras around the United States, including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Nashville Symphony Orchestra, and more.
Beginning Fall 2016, Jeremy Leidhecker will be pursuing a second Master's Degree in Scoring for Film and Visual Media at Pulse College, part of the world-renowned Windmill Lane Recording Studios in Dublin, Ireland. Jeremy currently resides in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, holds a first-degree black belt in taekwondo from Grand Master Il Hoi Kim, and enjoys time out of his home studio with family, friends, and the love of his life, Hannah.
