My family is my number one priority - but my love for technology is a close second.
It all started with an Apple /// when I was 6 years old living in Ellon, Scotland. Once I realized what computers were capable of, it lured me in and set my path for the future. At age 10 I had an ad running in the local paper to help people learn and fix their computers (as you could imagine, there weren't that many people in northern Scotland with I.T. support needs then :P).
After moving from Scotland to the north shore of Lake Tahoe I found myself accessing local BBS' (bulletin board systems) and the wonderful dialup Pogonip system that UNR made available. Shortly after that the web came online which changed everything. The internet suddenly became hugely popular and I found myself totally immersed in it.
Fortunately at the time a small ISP had started up in Reno that I became a part of - that experience of helping run the ISP got me even more passionate about technology.
Fast forward to today. After not only running my own successful consulting firm and working for various internet companies in Reno, San Diego and Monterey, I currently work for Sierra Nevada Properties as the Marketing & Technology Director.
Keeping a company and it's associates on the forefront of technology is obviously a full time job, and I love doing it.
When I'm not working, my time is spent with my beautiful wife, my wonderful daughter and our amazing family.
You can find me out in my RZR wheeling in the dirt and sand or camping in our motorhome, exploring the great outdoors.
