My career in IT has allowed me to build and sharpen an extremely useful combination of technical, business and human relationship skills. My experience at SAP has given me great insight into the project-driven world of enterprise technical solutions. I am passionate about creating something of value with others. When such endeavors are completed successfully, I love the shared celebration of a job well done. I have had various program management opportunities at SAP in which I've found great joy in coaching others and helping them develop organizational and leadership skills. I also enjoy employing my resourcefulness and influence with others in order to get the job done. This exposure to the business-oriented aspects of IT inspired me to continue my education and pursue my Master's in Management Information Systems (MIS).

During my two-year MIS program at Florida State University, I successfully completed several project management courses. This instructor-led environment gave me opportunities to serve as lead project manager of a small team on several occasions. This formal project management education qualified me to pursue the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) PMI certification. I am currently scheduled to complete this certification in June 2012. Since completing my MIS education and receiving my graduate degree, I have been employing and strengthening my project management skills on a volunteer basis.

I believe that professional and volunteer program/project management experience demonstrates the skill and value I would bring to a business environment as a project management professional. My experience at SAP and my graduate-level education have afforded me the opportunity to lead global teams, give presentations to executive audiences, and manage mission-critical initiatives for customers.
