Drawing upon years of experience playing basketball, Jermaine “Dolla” Beal serves as a basketball camp coach for Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role he teaches kids about the sport and encourages them to have fun while improving upon their skills. Jermaine “Dolla” Beal attended the university for his undergraduate studies and then returned after a stint overseas as a professional basketball player.

Prior to attending Vanderbilt University, Mr. Beal attended DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, where he was a two-time all-state selection. He led the team to a 5A state title as a freshman and, in his junior year, guided the squad to state runner-up. He capped off his high school career by becoming DeSoto’s all-time leading scorer, and then went on to star at Vanderbilt, where he was named all-SEC his senior year.

After completing his career at Vanderbilt, Mr. Beal played for the Austin Toros and Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League. From there, he signed with the Belgian VOO Verviers-Pepinster and then the Brazilian Minas team. He spent three years with the Australian Perth Wildcats, where he earned Grand Final MVP honors after he helped the team win the 2014 NBL championship in 2014. He also spent time with the Al-Ittihad Jeddah in the Saudi Premier League, the Belgian Telenet Oostende, the Brisbane Bullets, and the Israeli Ironi Nes Ziona.

Outside of basketball, Jermaine “Dolla” Beal enjoys watching movies and participating in health and fitness activities. An avid traveler, he has visited numerous countries, including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, France, Poland, and Saudi Arabia.
