Student and Musician in Philippines
When I first learned playing a string instrument it wasn't because I wanted to but because it was required in school. I was never really that passionate in music, so when I got into high school and it was not required to learn an instrument anymore I stopped playing the cello. During my fourth year in high school my parents urged ne to take cello lessons so that my skills wouldn't go to waste and so I did. I wasn't enthusiastic about it but I did get opportunities from it because I was able to join the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra and we travelled to Vienna Austria to participate in the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival, where we won second place initially and then the following year we took first place. There we also visited different countries in Europe such as Italy, Germany, Czechia and the Vatican City.
After graduating college I would love to teach and help other people in their musical journeys and hopefully give them opportunities to experience new and wonderful things like I did.
