Life began for me in Phoenix, Arizona. It was my cosmos. My departure for college unleashed the proverbial genie from her jar. From Puerto Rico and Mexico to all of the countries of Western Europe and the Pacific Rim, I began an odyssey of exploration, hiking, and backpacking that provides a backdrop for my lifelong interest in travel writing. Sharing the “why-you-should-go-there” story is exhilarating.

After college, I found an exciting home in the aerospace industry, where I was inevitably selected to be the problem solver in Italy, Germany, England, Korea, Taiwan or Japan as a program manager. Travel was in my blood, on my mind and dictated future career decisions.

Thinking about crackling glaciers, jumping salmon, the world’s largest moose, grizzlies, wolves, caribou, northern lights, long periods of daylight and darkness and North America’s tallest peaks, led me to the Alaskan wilderness for 14 years. It was there that I began to write about a place so far north, that one day I felt my feet freezing in the Arctic Ocean in utter awe. I have been a zealous Travel Writer ever since.
