JERROLD BENFORD begin his adult life as a graphic designer. He would conceptualize pieces, not only for himself, but a well known clientele. Back in the day, Jerrold designed work for Bad Boy Entertainment and a personal painting for Sean Combs. He also worked with the likes of Naughty By Nature, Salt N Pepa, and Uptown Records.
In 2006, Jerrold hit the stage for the first time and was addicted. Though he loved to design and create, comedy was his true calling. He took his high-energy act into the nightclubs and began to perfect his craft. His inspiration would come from the greats like, Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy, Flip Wilson, Redd Foxx, George Carlin, Robin Williams, and a host of others.
In 2008, he went back to college to finish his degree in Marketing. After a two year hiatus, he began hitting the stages again. Jerrold quickly shot up the ranks of the New Jersey stand-up scene, going from his first open mic to his first paid gig much more quickly than the norm. He has performed in such notable clubs as Rascals, Bananas, Stand Up NY, Gotham, Carolines, and many others.
