Dr. Jerry Cammarata is a notable figure known for his multifaceted contributions to family advocacy, education, healthcare management, and safety. He holds the distinction of being the first father in the United States to successfully secure paternity leave from the New York City Board of Education in 1973, an achievement that made legal history and influenced parental leave discussions. This experience was chronicled in his book, "The Fun Book of Fatherhood."

His advocacy extends to family well-being, leading to his appointment by President Carter to the White House Conference on Families in 1980. He continues to write and speak on family-related issues, including his recent book, "The Future of the American Family: An Unprecedented Crisis."

In leadership roles, Dr. Cammarata has served as Commissioner of the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, Associate Executive Director of Coney Island Hospital, and a member of the New York City Central Board of Education. He is currently the Assistant Vice President of Community Affairs at Touro University, and Chief Operating Officer, Dean of Student Affairs, and Associate Professor at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine – New York. Additionally, he acts as a UN Ambassador and World Safety Organization Liaison to the United Nations. Professionally, he is a healthcare management consultant, Speech-Language Pathologist, and Board Certified Audiologist.
