After obtaining his bachelor of arts in geography from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jerry Corr matriculated at the University of Washington, where he studied geographic information systems (GIS) and earned a graduate teaching assistant scholarship. Building upon his master of arts from the University of Washington, Corr is currently pursuing a project management certificate from the Colorado State University - Global Campus and a master of business administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Jerry Corr has also completed GIS industry training through Oracle, IBM, VUEWorks, and the United States Air Force Academy.

Since 2004, Jerry Corr has leveraged his considerable experience in GIS application development and delivery to serve as the chief executive officer of Ocean Sky Consulting. Concentrating on organizations that utilize brand-name Esri GIS mapping and geodatabase management software, Ocean Sky serves both private clients, such as Bentek Energy and the Pacific Gas and Electric Company, and public entities, such as the City of Federal Heights and the Air Force Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base.
