Jerry DePetris
Since 2006, Jerry DePetris has served as the owner of Home Instead Senior Care in Towson, Maryland. DePetris became interested in the field of senior care and the Home Instead Senior Care franchise in particular after his mother experienced a stroke and he and his family became her caretakers. DePetris’ experiences with one of the largest home care franchises in the world led to his eventual involvement with Home Instead Senior Care.
In his role at Home Instead Senior Care in Towson, Jerry DePetris has involved himself in a number of causes beneficial to seniors. DePetris supports the Be a Santa to a Senior program, serves on the Board of the National Aging in Place Council, acts as a Contracting Agent with the Department of Veterans Affairs, and supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual walk/run charity event.
Directing all facets of fiscal and organizational management at Home Instead Senior Care, Jerry DePetris has earned recognition for his efforts from several sources. He received the Baltimore Country Executive Citation from the Baltimore County Department of Aging for his contributions to enhancing senior safety education. In addition, DePetris earned several honors from Home Instead Senior Care for providing exceptional care to seniors, including the Cornerstone IV, Cornerstone V, Leadership I, Leadership II, and Leadership III awards.
Prior to his professional role, Jerry DePetris pursued studies in health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and at Towson State University in Maryland. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his dog, cooking, and fixing up his house. He also participates in a variety of sports, including tennis, weight lifting, running, softball, and biking. DePetris serves as a member of the National Aging in Place Council, the National Association of Retirement Counselors, the Baltimore County Provider Council, and the Baltimore County Elder Abuse Coalition.
