I was born to sharecropper parents in Georgia at the turn of the century. Oh wait, that wasn't me. Seriously, I grew up in Hoosierland in probably the most white bread existence you can imagine. After a brief stint as a journalist, I decided to "work for the man" and go into the marketing and programming aspect of TV. That naturally led me to pursuing a Seminary degree and the ministry, and of course that landed me where I am now, raising funds for non-profits and Christian ministries.
