Jerry Hughes
Public Speaker, Social Media Manager, and Volunteer
Jerry is an inspirational speaker who has spoken to millions of people in India, Africa and the United States through TV and Radio on behalf of his charity the Hughes Foundation.
He is also the Founder of House of Hope and House of Hope 2, which are Orphanages in Nagpur, India for children and youth orphaned by AIDS and/or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Through his own story, he has inspired thousands of people by speaking at youth camps, women's retreats, religious leadership seminars, high schools and universities around the world.Jerry's life is a testimony of turning 'adversity' into 'gainful values'.Spending most of his young adult life looking for love and validation in all the wrong places, in 2004 when Jerry was diagnosed as HIV positive, this was his 'point of surrender'.In that state of despair, Jerry knew that being HIV positive had something to teach him and more profoundly, something to teach the world.
Before Jerry founded the Hughes Foundation, he was an advertising executive for ten years. In collaboration with the mission of the Hughes Foundation, Jerry coordinated over 800 volunteers from 45 countries for a large international conference in Amsterdam in 2000. In Amsterdam is where the current partnerships of the Hughes Foundation were forged.
