Jerry is an interior designer who has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design at BCIT and practice freelance designing in Vancouver. Being able to communicate professionally in English and Mandarin has allowed Jerry to design in Vancouver and Taipei with local designers. Jerry has experience working in all stages of the design process: client meetings, on-site measurements, conceptual development, preliminary planning, construction drawings, 3D renderings, contract administration, and conduct site visits.

During his time at BCIT, Jerry worked in many multidisciplinary group projects as a group leader and hardworking team player. His group was one of the Northwest Pacific finalists for IDEC student design competition in 2017. Nankai Izakaya, Japanese bar and restaurant project for studio class, received an AMES Tile Student Competition Award and AWMAC Award of Excellence.

Travelling has allowed Jerry to experience new cultures and apply them to his design and lifestyle. During his time at BCIT, Jerry has traveled with his class to Palm Springs for Modernism Week and Singapore for cultural studies. On his own time, Jerry has visited Taiwan, Japan, and USA.

Having a rich understanding in various cultures and history, and living a respectful, thoughtful, and sustainable lifestyle, Jerry follows his philosophy, “Challenge yourself to create something unique while respecting your surroundings. Dig deep and observe”.
