Jerry Schranz
My name is Jerry Schranz and I am Public Relations Professional who provides a practical, common-sense approach to (PR), with a sprinkling of good humor. I use a combination of proven techniques as well as integrated strategic campaigns that help gain visibility for my clients, including social media, print and broadcast platforms. Basically, I work each day to get my clients in articles, blogs, the radio, or on the news or on a variety of feature programs. If they're not involved with an interview or an article/posting on a regular basis, I work hard to make it happen.
I graduated with a degree in Journalism and I was a journalist for a short time until I turned into a PR practitioner - because I wanted to reach beyond one newsroom and because I wanted to be able to share local, national, and international stories with fellow journalists...and my job would also not become obsolete as quickly as some printed material. I wanted to pick a field that adopted to and with technology and the habits of the general public.
I've encountered many journalists domestic and worldwide and many have come to me for repeat assistance on stories they are working on - or for assistance on backgound information that my clients can be go-to expert/sources. If you are a reporter or editor feel free to call upon me for leads and ideas.
I love my job as I am currently a senior account executive at Beckerman one of the industry's leading full-service public relations firms. The firm has offices in New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, and Hackensack, New Jersey.
I happen to work in Hackensack office; For anyone unfamiliar, Hackensack is a city in Northern New Jersey located about a half hour from New York City, and is known as the "City in Motion" or if you recall it was cited by Gene Hackman's "Lex Luthor" in Superman when asked what town he would not destroy.
Feel free to connect with me.
