Do's & Dont's of Notarization:

1. Carry an acceptable form of ID (Passport, State Issued Driver's License)

2. Do not pre-sign or pre-date any documents that need to be notarized.

3. All sections of the document should be filled out, except for Signature and Date.

4. Bring along all originals that require certifications/attestations along with supporting documents.

5. All document signers should be physically present with the notary at the time of notarization.

6. If your documents require two witnesses, the aforementioned rules apply to them as well. Your witness cannot be an immediate relative. (A notary may serve both as a witness and notary to a document).
