Hi! I am Maria Cynthia Jesa Quitain-Gutierrez, born in 1988. More known as Jesa/Asej to my family and friends. A proud Filipino and “Iskolar ng Bayan”.
I am a full-time public servant and a part-time traveler. I currently work for the Government of the Republic of the Philippines as a technical staff; doing complete staff work, communicating with line agencies and working with them in achieving a progressive and corrupt-free country. As being part of this environment who deals with the country’s problems every single day may sound stressful, it feels otherwise. Knowing that I take part in working towards the welfare of my countrymen makes it fulfilling and worth all the stress. Para Sa Bayan!
While I have the luxury of indulging fatigue from work, I thank God for still giving me some time to breathe and unwind by pursuing my passion for travel. Once in a while, I enjoy the pleasure of setting foot on new places and exploring God’s breathtaking creations. It is during my every travel that I feel most blessed. The Lord never fails to amaze me every time I explore nature.
I love writing – it’s a therapy to my soul. Through this God-given ability, I can express my deepest thoughts and share my heart’s real desires.
More than everything, I am a follower of Christ. Though I don’t belong to any Christian church (I’m a full-fledged Catholic), I enjoy discovering God and His plans for me through my daily encounter with Him. All the blessings I received from Him (including this ability) has made me so proud to say that I am God’s daughter.
My other interests include reading books (fiction and western), drinking coffee and tea (CBTL’s Iced Blended Matcha Tea is my favorite), running (or jogging), and taking photographs. And oh, by the way, I am a dog lover (we have more than 10 pet dogs at home).
I enjoy the pleasure of every moment of my life.
Carpe Diem! ♥
