Lenham, Kent

I've had a varied work life, starting at the tender age of 15 helping to clean out stables. I then moved in to retail where I worked for 10 years, working my way up from a replenishment assistant to a Team Leader. During my time in retail I was also juggling a Geography degree. I trained as a primary school teacher and worked for 3 years before leaving to have my first child, Alice. I'm now currently a full time mum but would eventually like to re-enter the workplace on a part time basis. Teaching, for me, can't offer the work/life balance that I look forward to having whilst raising my daughter so I am looking for a new work adventure!

As you can tell, I like to talk! But I'm also a fab listener and problem solver. During the summer, you'll find me in a field camping with lots of military vehicles and green tents! My family have a WWII Jeep and a WWII Dodge which we take to various events to exhibit. It's definitely been a challenge learning to drive these vehicles! In the winter, you'll find me huddled up around the fire with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. I read anything from crime novels to biographies to history books...as long as it's gripping, I'll read it! During school time, I run a Guides unit in my local village. I worked extremely hard to get the unit started up and I now have 14 girls in my group and three leaders. We get up to all sorts of craziness, including Go Ape, slime making and learning to knit.
