Jesse Bumstead
Louisville, Kentucky, United States
I grew up in Southern California, when I was 22 I moved to Louisville, Kentucky. The focus of this move was to experience a new place and to see what the rest of the United States had to offer.
Since being here I've discovered that what truly motivates me is my ability to interact with people and to make their lives better in the process. It has always been important for me to make sure that wherever I go people know that I'm there to make that place better, be it jobs, events, or personal interactions. My focus is to make that clear in the way I carry myself and the way I support those around me.
During the last few years I've been building a foundation for the career I wish to pursue for years to come, music. I'm an artist representative for 3 bands nationally (Stereo Empire, Quiet Hollers, & Frederick The Younger) and 1 singer/songwriter/ actress (Katie Boeck). Most recently I became involved with Communion Music as their Louisville Representative. Communion Music is an artist led organization that provides a platform for new and emerging musical talent to showcase their art and grow to their full potential. Communion Music currently works in 11 U.S. markets including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Louisville, Nashville, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Rock Island, Washington DC, Minneapolis, and Boston. Their Residency Tours bring National or International acts into these markets and pair them with regional and local talent.
My passions in life include music, travel, interpersonal interaction, art, food, activism, photography, politics, and hard work. I truly believe that there is no such thing as a free lunch and if you work hard enough for anything you can achieve greatness. In most cases we are our own worst enemies and allow our outside influences to hinder our own personal progression. I strive to make myself as uncomfortable as possible in order to learn as much as I can about myself. How can you know who you are without knowing who you aren't?
In the next five years I expect to build on current experience to have the credibility necessary to become an entertainment industry professional. My focus in the entertainment field has been in event management, promotion, social media marketing, consultation, public relations, and band/tour management. My goal is to one day run my own record label and to found a music, art, and comedy festival with the best acts the world has to offer together in one place.
