Jessee Brake

For the past nine years I have been teaching high school math and science between grades seven and eleven. I love spending time playing sports and video games with my five and seven year old sons. Recently, I have taken up golfing and fishing which has allowed me to appreciate nature a whole lot more.

It was time to push myself as an educator into more informal leadership roles. This is my final course in my educational leadership certificate. I hope to use these skills I have gained to help me build the confidence to support not only my students but my peers as well. This course will be important to guide what I have already learned in a more analytical sense.

I bring a willingness to learn with curiosity and a love for working with data. I am left brained and prefer logic and math over creativity. I hope to understand how I can leverage my confidence with numbers and data into my pedagogy and leadership roles.
