Jesse Rice-Evans is a Southern poet and rhetorician. She is a doctoral student in the English, Composition and Rhetoric program at the CUNY Graduate Center, where she studies digital rhetoric, femme embodiment, and queer textualities.
She is the author of The Uninhabitable (Sibling Rivalry Press, 2019), NOON (dancing girl press, 2018), Soft Switch (Damaged Goods Press, 2016), andThe Rotting Kind (Ghost City Press, 2017). Read her nonfiction and poetry inHeavy Feather Review, Monstering, Entropy, FIVE2ONE, and The Wanderer, among others.
She teaches queer texts, digital writing, and composition at the City College of New York.
